I have a Kenmore Elite dryer Model# 110 61062000 that will heat up but then when it get's "HOT" it will turn off! I would need to run it a few times to be able to dry the clothes??? does anyone why this is happening?

Also Whirlpool catalyst washer model# GSX 9885J it will fill up with water and all but when it agitates it agitates really slow...could this be the motor that it's dying out? any answer to this 2 problems would be greatly appreciated! thank you for your time.

I have seen cases where excessive dryer lint actually transformed into a cat!

Your dryer motor is doing a swan song. You'll need to replace it. This post will help you tear it down: http://fixitnow.com/2003/11/appliance-tip-of-day-dryer-disassembly.htm

And you can get the motor here: http://www.repairclinic.com/referral.asp?R=154&P=69

On your washer, sounds like a case of bad agimutator dawgs: http://fixitnow.com/appliantology/wpdd_dogs.htm

Not based on the information you've given here. But you're the tech at the job site: what do YOU think? :argh:

Fill the washer on low level and watch the lower part of the agitator and see if is agitates at normal speed if so then stop the washer and see if you can rotate the upper part of the agitator back and forth if so then you need a set of dogs that someone posted earlier LOL post back cdwasher

thanks for the prompt replies!  I checked the dogs and they are fine for the washer! and for the dryer somebody had told me that i might need a motor but it doesn't sound like it's the motor! it sounds normal is just that it doesn't matter what setting I put it in it will last 10 to 15 minutes and then it stops...sometimes it will show a E1 message???? im clueless at this point but anything you guys post here is greatly appreciated!
