Moostafa, you are smokin' something, buddy, because I don't know what in the hell you're talking about! We've never met in person, although you hang around every appliance forum I've ever started and chime in with sometimes helpful, but usually disturbing and freakish, posts. The only thing you said that was true is that I am independent contractor for CIA Black Ops. But that's no big secret-- it's right in my profile! General Note to All: I am not now, nor have I ever been involved with the purchase or distribution of heroin nor have I ever used heroin in any way, shape, or form. Just wanted to set the record straight. Thank you. Yes, Steve, If it's not the input shaft/worm gear and pinion the next likely pair of gears are the ones you pictured. They also don't go out very often but sometimes we do find them to be the problem. If these two are the problem (they only come as matched set) they are somewhat cheaper and would be worth repairing the transmission instead of replacing it. Time constrains imposed by the Boss dictated a ordering a trans. I'll strip the original down and fix it so I have a spare and let you know what I find. Now to fix the two other troublesome appliances. The matching gas drier that pops a thermal fuse every couple of months and the lovely Modern Maid dual gas oven that insists on a new bake hot surface igniter every six months. I'll open new threads for them to aid people searching in the future. Thanks everyone for your help. Steve

Ah, Samurai, my battle-weary friend, of course memory lapses are to be expected in a man who has experienced what you have. Any other mortal who experienced even a tenth of what you did would not have lived to tell about it. But surely you remember something of the dealings we had? The visits to the poppy farms, heroin procurement, the hash-hish, the hookas, the women, the camels... oh! the camels! However, I understand that you are trying to start a new life now and I would never dream of soiling that for you, even as you soiled yourself on many occasions after excessive consumption of my country's finest poppy products. Please forgive my impertinence, my dear, old friend.
