Okay ... I am a good listener ... contrary to what my wife may have said. I took the buggar apart, and tested wires at the motor. I have nothing at the motor, when everything is plugged in, and I tested all combos of wires ... I get nothing. I was in the normal wash cycle in the dry agitate/test area. I tried other cycles as well. Am I correct to assume that this means that my timer is  dead?Jeff

Further update ... I cannot leave well enough alone. First of all, before, I was checking on the motor itself, not the wire harness that came from the timer. No wonder I got a reading of 0. I looked at the harness, and much to my surprise, where the orange wire goes into the harness, it was burned looking. Not sure if that was my origonal problem, or one that I created poking around the timer with my multimeter. I did cause a spark with my multimeter on the timer at one point, but it seemed to do nothing to the timer, b/c it kept on humming.

Either the timer or the wire harness, see if you can get your leads on the timer terminals where the harness plugs onto the timer....or You can also check the harness from one end to the other for contuinity with your ohm meter, see if you get a reading from one end of the harness to the other on each wire, like one end of the blue to the other end with your meter set on ohms...

Well thank you so much pegi for all of your help. I think that I figured it out. I believe that my origonal problem was the timer. At $105 dollars, that's a bit too much for me to spend on a 15 year old washer. In the process of trying to diagnose my problem, I believe that I fried one of the wires in the wiring harness, because now, even when I plug everything in, my timer won't move. I used the ohm meter to check continuity on some of my wires. Remember the orange one that i told you about -- how it looked to be burned/fried at the plug by the motor? Well, when I hooked up the ohm meter from the timer wiring harness plug, to the motor wiring harness plug, I got nothing. So now, I am up to a wiring harness, and a timer. Oh yeah, I also got shocked today. Glad I am still alive. But it won't deter me from trying to repair other appliances in the future. Thanks for all of your help.
