Hello There, I replaced the belt and the spring on my T700 dryer and it worked fine for a while Now the dryer became too noisy and drum is nor turning smoothly but makes a slight jump as it goes around. I openned the dryer and noticed that the belt is alredy worn a bit (after a few months), and drum wheels (rollers in the front) have their rubber part worn out. I am oredering replacement for them. My questions to the experts who already went thru all of this: 1) can the noise and non-smoth rolling as well as the untimely wearing of the belt be caused only by bad rollers, or I need to look for something else? 2) why our guru says that rollers are in the back, while I see them in the front? Thank you for the answers and wisdom.

While removing the parts to replace the belt I now notice that the pin or bolt holding the belt tensioner pulley in place has sheared through. Is this a threaded bolt or a shear pin? Any ideas for how to remove the remaining pieces of the bolt from the motor housing and pulley arm? I too am in need of a wiring diagram if any has a copy. Thanks.

OK, so my asko dryer would not "spin". It was giving heat, but no tumble. So, with the assistance of the wisdom in these forums, my husband and i replaced the belt. Seemed simple enough and in fact the old belt fell out broken, confirming our belief that this was the problem... But it is never so simple is it? Now, there is no heat, no tumble/spin, AND a horrible rubber/electric burning smell.... What do we do??

Problem solved! By looking at the service manual, i learned there are 2 rollers at the front of the drum. We took it apart and everything looked good with the rollers But when we flipped the drum over, we found the edge was crimped...must have been when we took it out the first time. Anyway, straightened it out with pliers and it runs like new!!
