I have a Frigidaire Gallery Tumble Action washer model # FWT449GFS2. The washer still works fine, but has began making a high pitched whine when spinning. When we push the drum back and forth, one section makes a loud sqeaking sound. Does this appear to be one of the bracket problems ? And if so, will it make it worse to continue to use washer since it is working fine? If it is a broken bracket, would the washer still work? Thanks!!

That sure sounds like my problem. Here is a picture of the brown rusty material all over the back of the washer and lid.

Does that look like a bearing problem?
