My washer seems to be out of balance. I recently had a problem where it would start shaking pretty bad. I opened it up, and saw that one of the springs were disconnected, so I reconnected it and it stopped the violent shaking.

Now the tub seems to be too far farward, and when it fills with water, some of the water goes out of the back of the rim around the tub and on to the floor. You can push the tub back, and the water will go in fine without leaking, but I would like the tub to stay centered on its own.

When the tub spins, the agitator shakes back and forth like it's off center, and the tub starts leaning to the front and side.

See http://www.geocities.com/quarkburger/washer.avi for a short video. The tub had no laundry in it when this video was taken.

The washer does not rock when you "rock the diagonals".

The small spring in the image is the one that came loose. The larger black spring and 2 other black springs (not in the picture) are still on. These 4 springs should be all I need right?

The longer spring shouldn't be where it is.
