My Kenmore 70 series washer just stopped after the wash cycle. It is at the point where it usually starts to drain before the spin cycle. I tried moving it to the "perma-press" side of the dial, but still nothing. I also tried to get it to just rinse & spin, but no good. It is happy to wash again though. Thanks!

Without a model number we do not know what style this washer is. 70 series just tells us what line it is as far as bell and whistles. If it is less than 20 years old it sounds like you have broken your lid switch, cutting the power to the motor for drain and spin. If it is an older belt driven washer this will not apply. Pegi

YOU NAILED IT!!! I just by-passed the switch and it is running through all cycles!! I am trying to hold off for a couple of months before I buy a stackable set and this really helped. Thanks!!
