See if it is not agitating also, if this is so see if the coupler between the motor and transmission is broken....if it does agitate let us know and we will go down another trail...

You need to babysit this thang and catch it when it ain't spinning. You'd be best to do this with the cabinet removed so you can do a quick check on the motor. Need to see if the motor is running or not when the tub ain't spinning.

If it is agitating but does not spin out sometimes and the motor is running you could have a bad clutch assy or transmission. You will need to see if the clutch is turning, if not this is the problem, if it is then you might be looking at transmission problems.

Just because you replaced it 18 months ago doesn't mean it hasn't stripped out again. If you had a drive block strip out and you didn't replace the basket drive/brake assembly or at least tweak the two drive lugs back out to there correct position you will be having this problem again.

I had a issue this morning ... the tub during the spin cycle was not spining but could here the motor running. I reached in the agitator was locked up. I gave the basket a spin and felt some release. After that I turned it back on it ran fine.
