Our GE washer (WCXR1070T5WW) doesn't rinse the clothes when Load Size setting is "Extra Large". What could be the problem? Thanks in advance

How do you know it's not rinsing? Did it do this before you replaced the 4 damping straps? Is the cold water turned off? Does it rinse ok on "small"?

There was communication gap between my wife & I. She told me that It was not working properly. When I looked inside the washer, I could see that dampening strap were broken and so I thought that was the problem. She didn't mention the same until the I assembled the machine back and asked her to test the machine. Now, answers to your questions: Did it do this before you replaced the 4 damping straps Yes (that was the problem she had noticed but I didn't know or understand) Is the cold water turned off? No (Temp setting is Warm Cold) Does it rinse ok on "small"? Yes machine is ok for Small & Medium load.

Let's try something. Put the timer at the beginning of a regular wash cycle. Pull the timer knob out. While it is filling feel the water coming in. With you other hand move the temp selector from hot/cold to warm/cold to cold/cold. Was it hot when it was supposed to be? (sometimes have to wait for the water to get hot) Was is warm when it was supposed to be? Was it cold when it was supposed to be? Did the force of the water change much during this?

Water temp changed as expected. Water force increased when changed to Hot/Cold to Warm/Cold and then reduced when changed to Cold/Cold. I thinking to check one more thing. We will use medium load but keep the setting at "extra large" and will check it works. May be now machine can't wash heavy load.

That is a single speed machine. The only difference between regular and delicate is the duration of the cycle. Delicate beats the crap out of the clothes just as hard as regular, but only for a few minutes less. Having said that, do the next load on extra large and regular. The duration of the spin cycle will be longer.

Have you removed the front from the machine and checked the belt to make sure it is tight and not covered with oil by any chance? If the machine isn't spinning fast enough to remove the correct amount of water from the clothing then you have a possibility of 4 problems 1) Loose/worn belt 2) Belt covered with oil from a leaking lower transmission seal 3) Bad cluth 4) Bad center tub bushing locking up because water has seaped past center tub seal and caused the bearing to begin seizing up. We did one more test with our washine machine to find out what is the problem. Looks like it can not take much load anymore. With "Extra large" setting, if we load it with medium-load, everything works out ok. With extra large load, the clothes will be washed & rinsed (no soap, etc left in them) but the clothes will be wet. Normally at the end of the washing cycle, the water doesn't drip from the clothes but in case of extra large load, it does. Does this zero-down to any specific problem? Pleae let us know. Thanks AJ
