what's not probable? water coming out the res? have you tried just replacing that hose?

what I neglected to say I guess is that I ran it thru a wash cycle, fill, agitate, rinse, pump out but of course no spin. later I blew through the hose from the switch end AFTER tub was emptied by pump out cycle. That's when I got a little wet lint in the trap. other than that the pump was clean as a whistle. sorry I wasn't clear about that before

actually I have the diagram that was inside the machine. my problem is getting to a scanner to digitize and post it. I hope to do that tomorrow when I'm at work and have access to a scanner. Here's what I did tonight as suggested by an asko service rep: cleaned the commutator(?) the thing that the brushes rub on, with a pencil eraser. I spent about 20 minutes doing that and am putting the machine through it cycles now, though I am NOT holding my breath. If that doesn't do it it might be new motor time per the service rep/mgr at asko... dave

well still no spin after cleaning the comutator... I'll send the wiring diagram tomorrow and also start looking for a motor I guess...

Nope. after a new $200 motor and $150 control card I gave up and recycled it. now have a Whirlpool duet.
