Coils. Common problem, you've got the classic symptoms. ![]() RepairClinic.com item number 3473, a mere $17.35. (edited to correct the part number -- Samurai) Last edited on Mon Oct 3rd, 2005 01:46 am by ____________________ Mad Mac....Pray to God he's out there....somewhere. |

Yes, that is correct, they are on the top of the gas valve.

This shows the coils on the top of the valve ref # 55, Sears sells the whole gas valve assy, including the coils, looks like they will not sell them seperately.

This issue has come up before, it's a deficiency in the documentation rather than a reluctance to sell. $ear$ will happily sell you the coils, but they're no doubt much cheaper from our friends at RepairClinic.com, where old-fashioned customer service still reigns supreme (more about that later). Also, buying there supports this site.

Just wanted to post and give a big thanks to the poster and the answering guru. I had the same trouble with my 11072722101. I replaced the coils and BAM! All better. My wife now believes I can fix things. Thanks a million. If you're ever in DC I'll buy the beer. Take care, Dan

Sarah, assuming your model number starts with 110. Sears just shows the whole valve assy with the coils available..not just the coils..do your coils have wires that plug into the two coils, two to one coil and three onto the other coil or are the coils wired into a harness that goes back to the wiring from the dryer wiring...you may have the old style coil assy...??

Sarah, the new Repair Clinic part number for the "M" style coils is 3479. As Pegi said, make sure these are the coils you need. The old "K" style gas valve had three separate coils but from the parts diagram on Sears it looks like you have a new "M" style valve. Oh, and be sure to stop being a lurker if we have helped.
