I have a meter and was fooling around checking the post. Does both post have to have 220v coming out? Only 1 does and the other one is 110. If thats right what else can it be and how do I test it? Thanks!!

where are you testing? not sure what you are refering to as a post the plug on the wall has 4 holes, 2 vertical(live), one l-shaped(neutral), 1 round(ground) a meter on either live to neutral=120 live to live=240 either live to ground=120 neutral to ground=0

Well both post are pulling 120v and the block that it attaches too seems to be sending 120v each also. I noticed somewhere it said it could be a bad temp switch. How can I check for that? Also bad timer contact? Bad thermostate? or bad element. When checking for these, am I checking for ohms and how much. Thanks everyone.
