During the spin cycle, the agitator looks like it slips and never gets to its correct RPM. This just started happening and the clothes now need multiple runs through the spin cycle to keep them from being sopping wet. I had the lid open while the spin was going and you could see the agitator hesitate periodically. I read the Haiku and I tried lubricating the motor pivot plate from the bottom, but it didn't seem to help at all. Is there a better way to lube it? Does this mean a loose belt? Are there any instructions for replacing the belt and setting the tension properly?

Pull the belt out and look at it. If it's cracked and glazed, you need a new one. With the belt off, make sure the motor pivot plate moves freely and snaps back when you pivot it. The spring-loaded pivot plate is what creates the proper tension for the belt.
