I've got a Performa Dryer, model # PDET910AYW that was making noise and not blowing. I took it apart and found that the wheel was slipping on the shaft. I ended up having to mostly break the wheel off but the metal part is still on and won't come off. The wheel has arrows showing tighten and remove and they're right hand threads. I see alot of threads about other models that are left hand. I also see threads about a shaft with a flat side and a clip but everything points to this being threaded but it won't come off. I even used a propane torch to heat it and try to remove it. I'm using 2 pairs of vice grips, one on the shaft and one on the metal part from the wheel. Is there something I'm missing or is this thing just really stuck? Also, Here's the part # I found for the replacement if that means anything to anyone. AP4062362

the best way to get the sieze piece off is to slice a few cuts along its length with a cutting wheel(dont go through and ruin the threads) then redo the vice grips and it should snap off in pieces
