Hi, and thanks in advance for your guidance, Master! I have a GE top-loading washer, model # WCXR1070TAAA. I was washing some pillows and towels, and the unit made a whole lotta noise. Turns out the basket stopped spinning, though the agitator still works. Also, its not fully draining any more. I removed the agitator, and it appears that a part is completely rusted through! Here's a photo: I checked GE's website, and I found a schematic ( https://genet.geappliances.com/IPCNet/Dispatcher?REQUEST=IPCNETGETPDF&file=00000000/00000800/00000821.p03.pdf ) and a parts list ( https://www.geapplianceparts.com/GEApplianceParts/Dispatcher?REQUEST=ACCESSORY ). I'm not sure if this is part of the basket itself (part 316) or the hub (part 323) that rusted. It seems like it was formerly a solid piece, but the hub is shown with spaces on the sides. Also, will this alone cause the water to stop draining from the unit? Thanks!

Well, mine is pretty corroded, and I haven't removed any other parts, but it does seem to be a match. If this corrodes away and the drum won't spin, will that cause the water to not drain? I don't want to invest in this if there is still another problem at large. Thanks!

Possibly the parts that corrode and broke off could be blocking the pump intake......................
