This one has me baffled. I have a Kenmore Dryer 110.67622600 that started developing a metal on metal noise several weeks ago.
At first I thought it might be the felt things between the drum and cabinet but those look ok
maybe some quarter got stuck - didn't find one
Took the top off - belt looks ok - sound is definelty coming from the underside rear
Then I started it back up and it got quiter - kicked a couple of times - hmm whatever it was must have fallen out
Now everytime we start it up - sounds fine for the first 15 mins - then the metal on metal sound comes back - pretty loud - then goes away 5-10 mins later
I'm stumped - I haven't torn it down yet
