Dryer is stuck in delicate cycle. Will not turn off except if you unplug. Cancel will not work. No other cycle or setting will work. When you unplug the dryer and plug it back in the delicate cycle automatically is selected and then you can start the dryer and it operates as it should with the exception it won't turn off and the cycle does not advance. I replaced the main board and that fixed the problem for a day and then it came right back. Any ideas?

You da man, Reg!

tad, looking at your wiring diagram, and by the sound of your symptoms, it has to be a shorted keypad on the touchpad.

Unfortunately, this is yet another case where the manufacturers have gotten carried away with adding electronic bells and whistles to the appliances without providing the technicians with adequate troubleshooting and diagnostic information. In this case, we see in the tech sheet provided by Master Reg that the touchpad, called out as an active overlay, connects to the control board via a ribbon cable. What is not given, however, is the touchpad matrix for the individual pads so that they can be tested. This was done in some of the models of dishwashers but I guess the budget was too tight on this product so they left that off. It ourselves in the untenable position of having to make our best professional guess as to what the problem really is.

Thank you! I will go back and test the keypad now, however what puzzled me is that the keypad worked completely normal after putting in the board.

May be a static charge release from disconnecting the ribbon cable, oxidation on the ribbon cable pads...? May also try cleaning the ribbon cable pads with a pencil eraser and see if that does it.
