My wife is reporting fault codes on our Kenmore Elite HE3T washer. Codes like 5UD and 2F. I am in need of a manual that shows the fault codes or potential problem. thanks

Are you using HE detergent? Same error codes if you run a load without detergent?

I am running baking soda and vinegar in the tub to break up the sludge build up. So far it seems to be running ok. I will find out from the wife how much soap she put in.

This was great reading. My wife will be happy to hear this. She is constantly complaining about how some of her jeans smell and will wash them again. Thanks

It looks like I am going to have to open the unit up and check the drain pump. It gave me fault codes again. I even ran over an extra gallon of hot water in it.

Remove the catcher from the pump (open bottom panel and unthread pump filter) and see if there ain't a golf pencil or two hiding within thats slowing the drainage RepairClinic part # for pump is 1200164 if needed Last edited on Sun Aug 8th, 2010 10:03 pm by kdog ____________________ Can Ye spare some 'cutter me brutha ? http://web.me.com/zenzoidman/kdog/ |

I cleaned the large item filter on the pump. Found $.025, tw0 pennies, 2 brad nails, pieces of a pen, plastic tag from toddler pants and some other gunk (possible lint waded up). I then removed the pump and found the impeler loose and a small amount of hair around the shaft. Hopefully this will resolve the problem. I will report further findings. Thanks to all

Well I thought I had it fixed. There is a lot of noice coming from the pump motor. How do I test it to see if this is the problem? I did run it empty last night and it seem fine. today my wife tried doing a load and got the F02 code and Suds code again. Any thoughts for this grasshopper....wife is frustrated.

I just completed running the diagnostic test. When it got to C:05 it stayed on this for several minutes. I advanced it and it finished all the indicators. After it ended it flashed Sud again. So is it the pump? or the CCU - how do It test the CCU? Last edited on Thu Aug 12th, 2010 01:12 am by ltramon45 |

If the pump is noisy it is for sure suspect as the impeller may be slipping on it's shaft, but there could also be an issue with the water level components - check the sampling chamber on the tub and the tube to the w/l switch and make sure both are clear of debris as this can trip the switch contacts. most people use too much detergent and the results can be such blockages; run the diagnostic afterwards and manually advance the test steps to skip the water fill segments thus removing the w/l circuit as a suspect Once you try the machine again, run it empty on a hot cycle and see if there ain't suds in the water just from residual Last edited on Thu Aug 12th, 2010 02:00 am by kdog ____________________ Can Ye spare some 'cutter me brutha ? http://web.me.com/zenzoidman/kdog/ |

that would be the water/level Pressure Switch and the device where the Tubing connects to on the Tub ..
