Dear sensei
I have a Frigidaire GLTF1040AS0 front loading washing machine. When I try to run the machine, the "Door Lock" light goes on, but no water flows and the machine does not spin. Also even though the door lock light is on I can re-open the door with no difficulty. Any ideas what the problem could be? Thank you so much for your help!
p.s.: I can also pull the knob to "on" while the door is open, and the 'door open' light comes on.

Is the Door Lock Switch Assembly (http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?PartID=1531974&PPStack=1) easy to install?

It can be a little tedious. You will need to remove the spring clamp that holds the rubber door boot into place on the front of the machine. If yours does not have the clamp and is glued then you will have to carefully un glue enough to be able to work on the right side area.

Push boot back towards the inside of the tub so you can gain access to the switch. Remove the switch screws. There is usually a clip holding the harness for the switch on the right side that can hinder you from being able to pull the switch over to the left far enough to gain access to the connectors. If this is the case you remove the top of the machine and reach your arm down there and release it.

If your boot was the "glued" type you will want to re glue with an RTV sealant.

So I was able to remove the spring clamp and get the rubber boot out of the way. I replaced the Door Lock Switch Assembly. And now the machine is working. Problem is, I can't seem to get the spring and rubber boot back on! Any tricks/suggestions?

Just have to work the boot with your fingers so the lip will go into the groove on the front panel. Once the boot is on start at the top with the clamp(spring in the 6 o'clock position)work around both sides until you get to 5 and 7 o'clock then use some needle nose pliers, pockets screw driver, etc. to hold one side securely slightly expanding the spring to get the remainder of the clamp in place.
