I did the resistance checks directly on the motor. Checked ok. I have put considerable money into this machine but at least I only paid $150 for it to begin with. It is only 6 months old but it empitimizes the definition of a "lemon". Am I missing something? Still throws the F28 but recently started to throw F30 as well. Drum has never moved. Short of parting this washer out, is there anything else I should try?

Check the safety switches theres 1 at bottom of front panel when removed and 1 in the back panel ohm out see if they open and close, 2 green wires connect to each

Already did this in post number 38. Grounding switches are taped down while panels are off and ohmeter shows no grounding taking place through the switches. Switches are working properly and ground when levers are released.

This machine will not even activate water the valves to fill. Has had 3 CCUs installed (2 new ones) and two MCUs installed and a new right interface. All amounted to no change. Drum has never moved, pump works.

Missing something simple here but ?????? One thing I have learned here is: Never buy a Whirlpool Duet washer...... junk electronics is an understatement. Why does a stupid washing machine have to be this complicated?

DISCONNECT INTERFACE LEAD FROMM CCU CHECK PINS 3 AND 8 ON BOARD SHOLD HAVE AROUND 12 VOLTS DC

Phil,
Got the same washer with the same problem.

I'll be sure to post if I figure it out.

I may have a solution to my problem. Someone mentioned earlier about clean power. This is a second identical machine and the owner has it plugged into a power strip that has a two prong adapter on it. (Old hotel) There is a correct three prong outlet across the room. I'm going to try this when I go back.

There is a 2 wire plug (DCS3) that goes into a spot on the board for 3 connections. I think this is correct though because the schematic only shows a DCS3.1 & DCS3. 3 circuit. No DCS3.2 is shown on the schematic. This connector is for the door lock which is also working ok.

I am also concerned about those pressure switches I see in the schematic. One is wash level and the other is foam level. It appears to me that in the schematic, that if either of these switches is defective or open. then I would have a dead machine like I have.

Also going to do that DC voltage check next on the interface leads.

Not sure which leads these are since I only have 7 leads total running from the CCU to the Interface. And they are not 1-7 either. They are UID 1 thru 4 and UIP 1-3. Whch leads are you referring to? Also do I do this by measuring each wire to ground or across them?

Finally got it fixed. Ran a complete cycle and it runs perfect. What it ended up being was the pins on the connector to the CCU for the water valves. When you looked at the 4 connectors, two of them were qctually pushed back instead of being correctly shaped. I probably adjusted them a little too tight and then when I pushed it over the board, two prongs rolled back instead of sliding over the contacts on the board. I ended up cutting off a terminal from an older Duet that I parted out and splicing in another connector that looked good and didn't require any bending. Presto, everything worked like a champ. Hard to say if this was the only issue to begin with or not. I think it was a combination of things and this just happened to be the last. No error codes now. Runs perfect.

THANKS for all the help....... Couldn't have done it without you guys. That was fun, maybe I will go buy another fixer upper with all these parts I have left over.

Got mine fixed as well. Pulled the three wire off the motor control and it tried to start right up. Installed new motor control and everything seems normal.
