Asko T780 dryer stuck in P2 mode

My Asko dryer T780 works OK - apart from that it is stuck in P2 mode when turned on! It's impossible to change between the 4 different working modes P1-P4 (the buttons under the display don't respond) and the machine cannot be stopped with the STOP button, only by using the main ON/OFF switch. Has Mr Bin Ladin taken over or what?!

Could a general reset of the dryer "brain" on the main board fix the problem or do I have to replace the main board, display and the lot? Other ideas?

Would really appreciate a service manual in order to try to solve the problem before investing in expensive spare parts.

usually no reset sequences on appliances ..
other than up-plugging power for a few minutes ..

check your Switch/Controller connections ..
