I had the exact same symptoms as this post:

http://applianceguru.com/forum2/17372-2.html

I was 100% sure it was the speed-control board so I bought one, installed it...no dice. The troubleshooting diagram was very confusing about testing the timer or door switch. Any advice on what to try next?

It fills and stops. No agitation. If I advance to final spin, it drains and does nothing. No timer advance.

GE (Frigidaire) Motor Controller $ 248

(same) Frigidaire Motor Controller  $ 150

and remember:

Any part ordered from RepairClinic can be returned in original condition
within 30 days for a refund (less shipping)

I'll do some checking and post some flow charts in a few minutes.

I was just noting the price difference between "GE" parts and Frigidaire parts.

also the return policy of RepairClinic

Was the Fuse blown on either the old Motor Controller or the new Controller ?

Timer does not advance:

Set the timer to the start of the heavy wash cycle.

Allow the washer to operate for 3 minutes.

Then measure the voltage drop between pin 5 of the ten pin plug on the speed control board and pin 5 of the six pin plug on the speed cntrol board.

120 VAC Defective speed control board.

0v Defective timer.

Thanks! I did use that site to buy the motor board. I don't think either fuse broke but they're covered in a white paper like substance.

"Then measure the voltage drop between pin 5 of the ten pin plug on the speed control board and pin 5 of the six pin plug on the speed cntrol board."

I did this (both 5 pins on speed cntrl board) it started at .014 and never changed after 5 mins. Always read .014.

I also checked the resistance on the motor per the troubleshooting diagram, the motor checked out fine. Any ideas?

That's the test for "Timer Does Not Advance"
is that the problem you're having ?

Also, if the result is not 120v, then it says defective Timer ...

Is there a way to rule out the door latch over the timer?

Check the lower harness plug into the timer, when an out of balance load occurs, it often knocks the plug loose.
