Good evening. Dryer quit. Followed the prompts to check continuity on Thermal fuse. Continuity is good. What to check next? No error codes on display, is unlocked, all buttons work (display changes, lights work, lock works.) Is there a troubleshooting mode for this control panel (duet version 1, from the dark ages)? My apologies for any redundancy--couldn't find any other posts with the same problem. Thanks, Nancy

My 5 yr old says: "Check the Child Lock function. To turn ON or OFF, press and hold the End Of Cycle Signal button for 3 seconds."

Thanks K,man. Will pull switch and check when I get home. Although a sound thrashing with a 2x4 would be more fun! ****3 hours later.......****** Took top off, checked continuity at P2/P3 - flaky. Pulled switch, checked continuity at switch, fine. So cleaned contacts, reassembled, checked again at P2/P3. BINGO! Resistance much better and Open/Closed reliable. Switch in, top on, clothes go round and round. Life is gooder with tumbled jeans. The airdried ones are so scratchy, y'know??! BTW--I'm willing to scan the tech sheets into PDF's for your files if you need 'em. Let me know. Happy Hump Day! Nancy Last edited on Thu Nov 5th, 2009 01:57 am by growmoreflowers |
