This is a new problem that just started among the many others that have occurred with this machine. I have torn the machine apart and checked for loose or broken parts. Have placed 3/4" plywood underneath and re leveled. The machine is perfectly level. Any spin cycle even with a few pillow cases will go out of balance and get the uL code.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Does the Washer seem to be unbalanced ?
(vibrates, shakes, etc..)

Does the uL error appear with an empty load ?

It does not happen with an empty load. I have used a level to make sure the machine is level but the tub seemed to be closer to the back than the front. if you push the tub back it moves 1 inch before it hits and to the front 1 3/4" before it hits

I tried jacking up the back more to center the tub and it stlll is no better. It only does it when it goes into the final high speed spin

and yes it shakes the house when it gets to that point

Thanks, I noticed that was the only thing supporting the tub, I expected to find 4 springs pulling tension on all corners.

Is it truly level, the lids are sloped, if you put your level on the lid it might not be true level, I worked on one where the customer leveled it that way and the front of unit was about 1 inch higher than the rear.

Yes I leveled like shown in the repair manual. I checked from the sides near the corners and also lined up the level with the crack between the sides and the top. Also it had been spinning fine for over a year.

Thanks for the reply I can see how someone could get it un-level with that bowed lid

Thanks, I replaced the 4 rods and 30 loads later everything Great.

The upgrade to the new rods didn't make much sense for the problem. they added a plastic bushing to replace the grease. I don't know maybe the springs are stronger also. Anyway it is fixed.
