Hi All, This is a weird one. Customer called me out today to handle a leak. I checked the unit and the water inlet was spraying water all over the top of the tub area and spilling onto the floor. I reset the lid panel and repositioned the large plastic water sprayer and it worked fine. No more water on the floor. But, when I ran it through a test run, the computer kept beeping and the lights on the spin selector area bounced up and down. The customer said his wife had mentioned it doing this before, but it washed OK. I left the house and a couple of hours later he called me and said the machine won't shut off and is going wild. Blinking lights and beeping and doing nothing mechanically. I told him to unplug it tonight and we'd try it again in the A.M., hoping the computer would reset. We'll see. But, anyone have any ideas?? Not on her original beeping, but what could have happened while I was there to cause this more complex condition. I only popped the top and adjusted those plastic panels and then shut it again. Thanks in advance, Bruce in L.A.

sometimes a board will self destruct if you ask it to do something out of ordinary. the duet sport can blow a ccu if you cancel the cycle near the end, had a cabrio machine control crap the bed after i ran a diagnostic cycle once. Maybe the moisture had an effect on the motor control board, or even the motor. Try drying everything real good with a heat gun or hair dryer. If I was an independent servicer, I would not service any Maytag FAV's, it's a "no-win" situation.
