My Kenmore 110.46472501, ser# HLS4534800 has not been spinning on the final cycle and the obvious result is soaked clothes at the end of the cycle.  I have tried different wash cycles including the drain and spin but the result is the same.

I've been getting sporadic F1 codes and ran the diagnostic with all functions working as they should including the drum ramping up to mach I as if to mach...er, mock me.

Some things I have done are:  clean out the pump (lots of change and legos) and unplug the washer for two minutes to try and reboot, reset, reformat whatever is acting up.  Sometimes this works and I'll actually get a load washed as it should but the majority of the time the clothes are soaked after washing.  According to the manual, the F1 code suggest a pump drive error and to replace the CCU but water is getting pumped out, there's just no final spin.

If the diagnostic test runs through all cycles and then shuts off at the end, does that mean everything checked out as it should?  How would I know if something failed during the disgnostic check, would there be an error code similar to what I would get during the wash cycle?

I await your wisdom.

Fabulous, is that the module located far right corner on the bottom that the drain hose is clipped to?  Sears lists a Microcomputer, machine control, model #W10133559, is this the item?

Much thanks!

the ccu is not on the bottom near the hose its on the top along the right side. you want the machine control not motor control so that description sounds correct

I have to re-visit this issue.  We're back to the problem of having a wet load of clothes at the end of the cycle.  I replaced the CCU and ran the diagnostic test and everything functioned as it should during the test but there are still soaking wet clothes at the end of the washcycle.  Please advise, thanks.

No, I procrastinated and only replaced it this past weekend.  We've been putting the dryer through its paces with soggy clothes.

Replacing the MCU did the trick.

I was going to have Sears come out and do their thing but fortunately they stood me up.  The guy from India tried to peddle some bizarre rate/repair plan and in the end I found it to be cheaper to just replace parts on the washer until it was fixed.  It took me three tries, CCU, pressure switch and finally the MCU.

I'm proud of myself, it only took nine months to to repair(stop procrastinating), far less than it took me to finish remodeling the master bath.

A Stella and a shot of old number seven for me!
