2 Problems 1st problem I was in the midst of Spring Cleaning with the wife and I took off the top grill because it was greasy and started cleaning that area while cleaning it I noticed that the Touchpad control panel had grease and dirt on it also on the sides So in my genius of a moment I took off the screw and lowered the panel and sprayed the side of it and also soaked and cleaned and sprayed the top exhaust grill above the door and panel area. When I closed everything up It seemed to be fine I then wiped down the face of it etc.. When I looked at it later The Panel was dark and nothing at all worked on it So I checked the fuse downstairs checked ot make sure it was plugged in and everything was okay. But When I looked at the Wiring Technical Diagram about 10 - 15 minutes finally figured out to follow the power cord and all I have to check it was a Red Voltage pen that when you touch a wire or outlet it lights up and tells you if it has power between 50 and something else vac. SO I check the power cord and the pen light up . I then touched the brown wire and it light up I then touched the rectangular porcelain looking fuse thing in a very very tight spot and the top of it light up. I then proceeded to touch the bottom of the fuse and nothing happened. I then touched the Black and red wires exiting the brown rectangular porcelain thing and they did not light up. THe fuse says it is 250 V20 A I believe So My question is is this what i blew some how and Can i get this fuse at radioshack or somewhere around me. If you do not think this is the problem please tell me what else I should be looking at doing checking etc.. Secondl Problem very easy answer I noticed there was a recall on 2001 Whirlpool Microwave ovens starting with serial number xc How do I now if it is expired or I can still have it serviced also and if not what was recall for additionally it may not affect mine at all who knows Alright then If you have any pictures visuals of how to replace fuse etc I would greatly appreciate it There is also A Brown partition in front of the fuse making it almost impossible to remove with just a apir of plastic fuse tweezers so How Do I remove or replace the fuse if this is what it is THank You for being so long winded But I tried to include all the steps I did and what I did not do TInkering Grasshopper in need of help John If you want a picture of the insides or any other information I will gladly email it to you just let me know thanks My email is JKingsley7@cox.net
