I did that, was part of the testing of the switch in the Maytag service manual, it did as it was supposed to.   Took the switch out, looked for burnt contacts etc, nothing out of the ordinary.  As I said I also replaced the ccu with no change...

It won't let me attach it, file too large.

It is a manual for a Maytag Epic, but is essentially the same machine.

It is JOB AID 8178606  Pretty informative, 88 pages.  Still not enough to help me fix it though...

does look like:
Maytag Epic Z Washer  8178686   24 MB 96 pages

Waiting on the part, but have a question.  When running the test on the machine, the first test is the door lock, it shows the lock light, I can hear it lock, but it never goes to the next test.  Is this telling me there is a problem with the lock test?  The pin out readings for the lock unlock coil have been wrong since the start:
Test is DL3 2--3 60 ohms and 1-3 60 ohms.   I have been getting 1-2 60 ohms and 2-3 60 ohms with a 120 ohm total from 1-3.

Anyway is this good or bad?  Does the test stop on the failed component or the next one?  I keep getting an f-28 code which has nothing to do with the door switch.

Is it possible to clear the codes from the ccu memory?

Thanks, fingers are crossed, but until it does fix it and is installed, I am in a self doubt mode wondering if I missed something silly.

MCU arrived. Now error code reads F-01 and appears at end of cycle. The door locks, clothes wash and rinse and then error code appears.

Any ideas???

Machine cut off with 4 min. left to go. The door clicked and the "Door Locked" light turned off. Immediately started flashing F-01 error code. Door isn't unlocking, though, unless we do it manually.

I'll make sure that hubby sees the last few replies when he comes home. Mark, the new MCU arrived yesterday and when dh installed it the F-01 error started.

We have used both the old and new CCU.

I ordered a new door lock switch this morning. Dh told me that I should so that we can try it.

We were able to watch it more closely yesterday. That was after post #29 was written. It did do the final spin. Then, it briefly went to "Clothes Clean" at the same time that the door clicked, the "Door Locked" light went off and the error code came on.

I replaced the door switch and all is good now, so it needed a new door switch and MCU.
