The machine was acting up during the rinse cycle today and I remembered having to clean out the pump a prior time. I did this again but when I turned the machine on to start the wash process again I noticed that the tub wasn't moving. There is also a faint noise in rhythm like it is missing. I see people referring to error codes but I don't understand where they are getting these. Any help will be much appreciated. Last edited on Tue Apr 7th, 2009 12:25 am by nomaicgnu |

Thank you much. I have run the diagnostics and came up with error code 136: motor stall with possible cause being: faulty motor harness, faulty or jammed motor, siezed bearings or seals, faulty motor controller module faulty rotor position sensor or harness. I don't think that the bearings are seized because I can spin the drive shaft. How do I eliminate the others until until I have diagnosed the problem?

Does the tub spin?

The tub doesn't spin but I can spin it manually. I am assuming that this means the bearings aren't seized. Do I need a meter to determine if the wiring is bad or does the machine have internal testing to determine that also?

You will need to test the resistances of the motor windings.
