In a previous post, someone helped me determine that I need a new timer for my dryer. In an effort to get the job done quickly and avoid an endless series of "is it done yet..." questions, I ordered it locally instead of through the site (and I think God has punished me for that particular move...). Anyway, the timer model currently on my dryer is M414-6G. The one that they gave me was a M414-G. They look pretty similar, but the wire "posts" are in different places and the post labels are different from one another (see picture). If anyone can tell me if I can actually use the M414-G on my dryer and, if so, help me to figure out which wires should go where, I would really appreciate it! Thanks! They sold you the wrong timer. You need to take it back and get your money back. Then buy the correct timer. Notice that it's an exact, drop-in replacement for your dryer.
