 ok, here is another test. set your meter to read ohms (the horseshoe setting). now turn the washer to a cycle where it should be spinning but just hums. unplug the washer and disconnect the harness from the motor. check between the orange and red wire that is attached to the opposite side of the capacitor from the red wire at the motor plug. next check between the yellow and white/black wires.

 on either one? does the needle go to zero if you touch the leads together?
