I have a GE Frontloading Washer model number wbvh5100hww serial number gm205680t that will not tumble or spin.  When i enter the diagnostic program i have an E54 error.  I have check the voltage at the wall plug, and checked the connects at the motor, inverter, and main board.  The tech sheet says the problem is with the motor, but i would think the problem could also be the inverter.  Is there a way to test the motor and inverter?  Thanks for the help.

Hello, my diagnostic friend. The tech sheet you are using apparently contains the instructions for entering diagnostic mode. To then not include the error codes and their meaning in that very same tech sheet is sheer mental cruelty the likes of which only GE is capable. Are you saying that the error codes are omitted from the tech sheet?

Error code 54 points to a motor problem. Use your tech sheet to run tests 10, 11, and 14.

Moostafa, thank your for your reply.  The tech sheet did include the error codes.  It lists about 7 codes, including E54, and says to replace the motor.  Other than a neptune, i can not recall replacing a motor on a front loader.  I have replaced many motor control boards.  I did do test t10 (tumble), t11 (spin), and t14 (spin) and the motor did not start.  After finding my manual, i discover that it says to replace the inverter for this error code. With the cost of parts being $125 for the motor and $250 for motor, i am not sure where to start.  I have included error code page for the manual.
