Log dry time could be a blocked vent in the home.  Not heating right could also be one broken coil on the element.  Here is your element behind the drum, will need to take the top up, the front off and the drum out to access this.  See if one coil is broken, if so will need the whole thing since they are common to each other.   Reference # 512 is the element...WE11M23.  Remmove the vent hose from the dryer and see what temperature the exhaust air is with a thermometer, should be around 150* on high heat.   If it is about 110 or so inner coil is probably broken,  If it heats ok, the dryer vent in the house is the cause of not heating well.

One of the coils will not be in one piece, will be broken.......but do the take the vent hose off and see what the exhaust temperature is first before taking this thing apart and bleeding all over the dryer from trying to get the belt off and back on...have band-aids handy..... :poison:.....if your house vent is the problem you will save blood and skin....If you do have to take this dryer apart, check the front glides and the holder while you are in there and the rear drum shaft bearing, they probably will need replacing also, well,  I know they will need replacing , this is the new and improved design after all....:)
