Oh great one...I just got a free kenmore front loader from a freind. He said oh it makes a noise like its out of balance....I tool the back off the bearings are shot.

Here are my questions

The inner bearing was completly destroyed and its race is frozen to the shaft...the outer was almost done but still came out whole. Looks like they used this machine for awhile with no bearing in place.

Here are my questions

Can i just buy a bearing and seal kit for this?

I don't mind buying the rear tub with the bearings in it but the shaft on the stainless tub is a little rough.. It has the race for the inner bearing still on it I can get that off.

The shaft also has what looks to be part of the inner seal it looks like a cone do i get that off too is that part of the old seal?

ok the outer bearing has a snap ring  does the inner have one or is it heald in by the seal and the shaft being tighten down to the pully

Thank you o great one i stand humbled by your GREATNESS

Oh and if you ever need help with Vespa scooters or vintage micro cars I stand ready

Tom

thats part of the basket if youre talking about what i think you are.

the easy way would be to order a rear tub and a basket.

the hard way would be to try to replace just the bearings. i imagine it could be done but you'll still need a new basket due to the shaft being mangled.

Thanks so much I'm pretty sure I can clean up the shaft on the basket. The areas where the bearings would ride are unaffected because the race for the bearings stayed in place..It's the other areas are beat up but,  I took a photo you can see the bearing race. what Im asking about is bellow it close to the basket...dose that stay?
