I got a Frigidaire model # gltf1040as0 front load washer problem.  My daughter was putting the load inside this washer, when she pulled the switch to turn on the washer, it just closed the door and turn on the “door Locked” light.  She called me over, I checked the INNER switch Clockwise, it either pours water or drain, but never spins.

I suspect it is the problem with the switch, because it just stay at on point and not going over to other mode(wash, drain, spin).  Can anyone help please?  Any diagram procedure that I can use to open the washer?  Thank You!

Thanks for the quick reply.  I just took the top and the bottom part out and amazed by the good quality it used.  I took the timer out which I belived is the timer, but will test tomorrow for the Motor control board and fuse.

GLTF1040AS0 Parts Manual

Thanks for the Manual the page.  I tested last week and found out Pin 5 (Six Pins) to pins 2,6,10(Ten Pins) reads 124 VAC, but the Pin 5 (six pins) to 1 & 9 (Ten pins) reads 35 - 47 VAC.  I ordered the Speed control board.  Clean out the coins in the drain, got $1.35 :)

I got Speed control board yesterday and installed today and works fine on the first load.  Little wetter than expected and the Fabric softner was still there after the regular cycle.  Second Load, it stop at the middle of the regular cycle.  The door light doesn't lit... The switch doesn't work, DEAD!  Any other suggestions?  It just ignoring, was so proud when I fixed it.

lol, just checked the power outlet went out...  Rerouted to other outlet, is running...

Only 1 problem, the Fabric softner either still stay in dispensing tray or left with water after the 2 washes.  Could it be clogged?
