Dried first load, no problems, second load ran for about 15 minutes then stopped.  All lights workin on the panel, no error codes showing.  Drum doesn't turn, dryer tries to start but doesn't.  Cleaned all vents and replaced thermal fuse.  When turned back on dryer hmmms a nice little tune but drum won't turn.  Any advice you can give us would be great.

Semper Fi,

Remove the blower housing, usually 3 1/4" screws, and see if you have something stuck in between the blower wheel and the outer housing.

Semper Fi,

Will work on this again tomorrow. Not sure where the blower wheel is but will break out the spec sheet.

ok, husband can't get back to this so i'm going to muddle thru. i need to clarify some things - when i press the start button the dryer starts for a few minutes, drum turns, dryer heats as normal and then it cuts off after 5 minutes or so.  There is air going thru the dryer vent - do i still need to check the blower wheel?  and if all of this is going on isn't the motor working?

The Blower Wheel is connected directly to the Motor.

If there's something clogging the Blower Wheel, or if it's loose on the Shaft, that could cause some problems with the Motor "humming" and not turning the Drum sometimes.

Did husband clean out the Blower Wheel area ? Was there anything there ?

That could cause an over-temp and shut down the Dryer.

What "cuts off", just the Heater or the Drum also  ?

If you could measure the output temperature of the rear vent with an empty load Timed Dry, High Heat.

It should cycle somewhere between 135F & 160F

You could use a meat thermometer...

Are you getting a F1 error message. I had a duet run for a few mins and kick off and it was the thermistor that was bad. Located on the blower housing next to blower wheel.Look for codes on your keypad when it shuts off.

There should be a flexible Gas Line hooked to the Dryer.

OR you could disconnect the Vent Pipe anywhere between the Dryer and the outside wall (closest to the Dryer)

semper fi-in the bottom is a tech sheet. you would need a multi meter to check the thermistor. it will be  black or white just to the right of the thermal fuse. the tech sheet will give you the ohm reading you need. i think at room temp it's like 11 ohms. the thermistor tells the controlboard that the exhaust air is dry and shuts the control off premature. post back. i've got a marine of my own.

drum won't turn at all now.  control panel comes on but nothing else.  dryer had run for a few minutes earlier (before we tried to check temp).  experience says it won't come on again for a few hours, then runs for 2 or 3 minutes and shuts off again.  not sure if that helps, but will need to check temp tomorrow  -
