New washer Whirlpool Duet HT WFW9200SQ02 purchased within the past few months.  There is very little water that seems to go into the machine with no visible water and/or suds during the washing cycle.  Repairman was out and said it is not a problem--this is the way they work.  No codes come up--just very little water and clothes aren't getting clean.  Any help would be appreciated.

Well, these will have only about 2-3 inches of water in the spin basket for the clothes to tumble thru, so that sounds normal....have to use HE soap and only 1-2 tablespoons per load max...there should NOT be any suds in a front load washer, suds is the enemy, HE soap is designed to not have suds and suspends the dirt so it does not get back onto the clothes....as for the not cleaning problem not sure what is causing that of course, we do not know how you are using the unit....or what kind of detergent....

My LG (has 10° Tilted Drum) with an empty load,
has about a 1/2" water near the front, and about 3" of water near the back.

With a full load, it would add water (then soaked up by the clothes), until it reaches tha above mentioned water level.

Hello, my unclean friend. If I may suggest, perhaps it would diagnostically helpful for the many fine Masters assembled here at this Pillar of Appliantological Ideas if you were to make a short movie of your washer filling while empty so that we may visually, albeit subjectively, assess the flow of water into your washing machine. Be sure to include a final shot of the water in the drum (with the door open) after filling has completed. You may post the movie to Youtube or some other such infidel hosting service and post the link here for our perusal.

Alternatively, you may consider simply dumping your German-built Duet and purchasing a nice Muslim-built washing machine, such as the Kiriazi. As a bonus, they are also available in the timeless harvest gold or avocado green color schemes.
