Got me stumped big time.

Electrolux Model #LTF2940ES0 front loader.

Repaired the motor control housing which got broken during pickup or drop off of this used machine, about 8 weeks ago and it was running fine.

Suddenly it refused to start, generating only the "ERR" followed by "LOC" on the display.

I had noticed that once or twice in the past the door wasn't quite closed fully and washer wouldn't start, so I went and assumed that the problem was with the door lock switch.   Local parts house had a switch in stock, so I picked it up, installed it and the condition still existed.

Checked both "wax motors" for correct resistance and found both motors (old and new) to have infinate resistance, not the 1325 ohms that the "Terch Data Sheet" listed for the "door lock solenoid".

Back to the parts house for another complete switch and now I get a 980 ohm reading, but this does nothing to get the unit running as I still get the same error code.

Unplugged washer for 30+ minutes but same problem remains.

I've checked the reed switch and it operates as it should when opening and closing the detergent/bleach drawer.  Did some more poking around and found that the wall plug reading is 123 volts, as is the reading at the reed switch, BUT the "wax motor" connector only shows 107-108 volts.

To summarize, door switch replaced twice with no improvement, reed switch checked out fine.

Unable to enter into the diagnostic mode.

Help.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

if it wont lock the door its got to be the door latch, the machine control or a open wire.

Generally when you see "ERR" & "LOC" when you push any control button that is because the control has been put into the child lock mode.

You need to push and hold the two buttons that have the lock symbol between them for about 3-11 seconds to unlock the user controls.
