Just purchased this machine used and wonder if it can be safely transported on its side without losing oil from the transmission, as it won't fit in my minivan upright.

Don't do it. Not only will it leak oil, but this is very stressful on the suspension. Rent a trailer or borrow a buddy's pickemup truck, save some headache and heartache down the road.

Thanks for the headsup. I managed to get it in the side door with 1" to spare so there's peace in the valley.
