I have a GE WJSE31110A0WW purchased in June of 2000.

I moved cross country about a year ago.  After moving in, the first few loads of wash had grease on the clothes and it seemed the grease had come thru the holes in the wash tub.  That ceased after a short time.

Now, the machine seems to have a mind of it's own.  It will handle small loads fine.  Sometimes it will wash large loads, other times it fills and stops.  This happens on any of the wash settings.  Today, it handled a large wash with no problem.  It also doesn't seem to matter how many clothes are in the washer.

The super load hasn't worked in sometime.  It fills and stalls out.

Any suggestions?

After it stalls out, how long before it can be re-started ?

You may have to do some voltage checks.

:D Cute!

Yes, we did install the shipping bar.

Once I notice that it has stalled, I can push that start button again and it takes right off.  Now, today, it has washed three large loads set in light wash/Easy Care and not stalled out at all.

Once I get two more loads done, I'll give a try at changing the setting and see if it will work all the way through.

Thanks.  Any more suggestions would be appreciated.

Pull front panel. Look for the clear plastic tube (#811 in breakdown) and see where it attaches to the tub. Check for gookus buildup and clean if necessary. Remove the tube and blow in it and see if you hear the water level pressure switch click (#10 in breakdown.) If switch doesn't click when you blow into it, replace the pressure switch.
