I have a Whirlpool Electric Dryer - LEC6646AW0 - It began not working, after a day running 3-4 loads. Post Mortum was running only momentarily  in cool down cycles as i twisted the timer knob past them. Then the buzzer sounds and it shuts off.

I've determined the door switch to be fine.

With a multimeter I have also tested both thermostats "high limit: P/N 338949" and "cycling: P/N3387139", the "push to start" button, the "thermal cut out: P/N3389946" on the heat side , and the "thermal fuse: P/N3392519" on the exhaust side.

The 'thermal fuse" gave a funky reading and i replaced it - all other componants hd read 0 resistance.

Unfortunately, after replacing the "thermal fuse: P/N 339519" the symptoms are the same -

Timer ticks, push to start clicks, dryer may run and tumble as the timer knob is rotated - especially in the areas on the knob designated "cool down" or fluff but will not run  like a machine that is a "dryer". I have no idea if the element is heating up ecause it doesn't run long enough to determine that.

make sure your power cord is good and that you have proper power to the dryer.

jump out the door switch and unplug the motor connector and check for voltage

on the start / run for the motor (use your schematic)

if it is as you say you should see power come and go in 5 sec. or whatever length of time you say it runs for. If your voltage disappears come and get a timer
