This AC unit runs for 10 minutes or so then the compressor turns off, or the fan turns off and it stops cooling. After waiting for a bit, I can turn it on and off several times and usuallly get it to cool again for a short while. Already replaced the run capacitor but I don't know what could be the issue here. Anyone have the service manual? Any ideas of what to try next? Thanks

It could be the overload mounted on top of the compressor. Bypass it and see if the unit will stay going. If it does then get another overload. Attachment: overload4.jpg (Downloaded 18 times)

Why did you replace the run capacitor ? did you test it to see if it is indeed bad ? When you turn it on and off did lights dim ? Is the "Condenser Coil" clean ? Did you check the voltage when the unit started ? Amperage ?
