Rheem in our area is sold by plumbing houses which do not give it much attention- some store front type dealers but many small / hack installers

If all it is is a relay...you should be able to get a generic Essex style relay and wire it in....may not necessarily have to be brand specific.  Just verify the coil voltage.

If that is the case, any parts house, electrical house, or plumbing/HVAC shop should have it.

The one in the parts house has 3 contacts. 3 double contacts. Mine has 2 double contacts and 1 single. Will that make a difference? Both are enclosed in a clear plastic box. Thanks

#1 make sure the coil voltages are the same in the old and the new one you are looking at.  Is it 24 vac, 120 vac 208/230.

#2 check your old diagram to see how many switches you need and if they are normally open or normally closed.

#3 verify that the new generic one has enough of the switches normally open or normally closed

#4 wire away and test out the unit.
