The installers of a new replacement double oven had only an old three prong 220VAC Y  connector to connect the oven's four wires. They cut off the ground wire.
Tho not fatal, the home owner was later somewhat tickled when he happened one morning to touch the oven handle and the trash disposal handle. Hardwire grounding of the oven was then installed.
