There is a chrome flange that should hold it onto your sink. The flange will have a tube like opening or two, put a screw driver in one (or the anti jam wrench) and turn it off. I recommend disconnecting your plumbing first. It the unit unit falls while you are taking it down, it can brake it.

Thanks, So I put the screw driver in the "tube" and that lets me somehow releases the flange and then drop the disposer down from the sink? Is that what you're saying? (The plumbing and electricity are already disconnected) Again, thank you.

Correct. Think of the flange as a big locking nut. It will rotate about 1/2-3/4 of a turn then the disposer will come down.
