Sharp Microwave, R1462A makes a rattling noise.  When running, the microwave makes this noise that sound like something is loose in there. What part is in the microwave that would rattle? The fan?

Sawbird,  there is a number of things that it could be.  You have a vent fan and a cooling fan that you would need to take the wrapper off to see if that's the culprit.  In your case,  without being there I would think it's your stirrer fan located under the stirrer cover making the noise..Ron

Thanks Ron! It is an under-the-counter microwave so how do I get to the stirrer fan. Do I need to take it off the counter to get at it?  You mentioned the vent fan and cooling fan also. Are there three fans?

Sawbird,  yes there are three fans,  venting, cooling and stirrer.  If this is mounted on the wall,  you are going to have to drop the oven and take the wrapper off to really see what is going on.  This could be a hairy deal for someone inexperienced.  Make sure you have some help dropping this thing...Ron
