At first, our freezer was cold, but the refrigerator was warm. We found the coils frozen up, so we replaced the adaptive defrost control board. Now, both the freezer and refrigerator are cold, but the icemaker is not working. The icemaker lever is down and the freezer is 0 degrees. Any ideas?

Two possibilities... actually more than that, but these are the most likely scenarios:

1. The freezer has not been below 17F long enough for the thermostat in the icemaker to close and let the icemaker function.

2. Frozen filltube.

The freezer has been below 17F for over 24 hours and there's only water in the fill tube. We manually cycled the icemaker and watched the gear move. It seems to lock at a certain point rather than cycling all the way through.

Initiate the harvest cycle on your icemaker and see if you get a fill of water toward the end of the cycle. Listen for the hum of the water fill valve energizing.
