I was cleaning the ignitor on the range and it popped loose. The wire is still attached, but whatever fastener holds the ignitor in place has slipped. I'm trying to figure out how to get access to reattach it..basically the same as if I replacing the ignitor. I disassembled it down to the burner base, which the ignitor is normally seated in, but am intimidated by the owner's manual and all other instructions I've found which say not to remove the burner base (for cleaning). Can i ignore those instructions, since I'm not cleaning, and will removing the base give me enough room to get to what I need? Here's the diagram...parts 257 and 258 are the ones in question.
