I recently replaced my 29 year old Kenmore microwave. It was still working but taking increasingly longer to do anything....

Here's the thing, tossed it before I got the model number off the unit but the Use and Care Manual says that it would be 564.800000000. The Stock No. on the front of the manual is 88841.

We have cooked our Thanksgiving turkey in the microwave for 29 years. There are no instructions in the new microwave owners guide on cooking turkeys. Everywhere I look online says it isn't recommended. Seriously, I have done this for 29 years with no problem whatsoever. Bird cooks all the way and the oven is free for pies and other stuff.

My new microwave is 1250 watts. I think if I can find out how many watts the original microwave had I can figure out how to cook the turkey in this new box. Oddly enough, the owners manual does not list the wattage anywhere.

How can I find out what the wattage was on my original microwave? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
