JADE Built in Refrigerator RJRS4270D - Dead - No Lights Even It was a typical call on a busy day 'can you fix my refrigerator, its not cooling' is all I listened to so I took the service call. Much to my surprise it was a JADE brand refrigerator (under the Whirlpool umbrella.) This unit is dead, no lights, no nothing. I even had an electrician come out the next day to check the breaker, outlet, and power cord. Any advice where to start would be much appreciated.

PMed you the manual. I've not been impressed with the troubleshooting skills of the electricians I've met around here. Most, amazingly, can barely use a meter. Moral of the story: personally verify that you have a valid power supply to the machine. Use your meter to check for voltage AND plug in a fan or light or something in the outlet to make sure you have current. There's a main power switch on these units, make sure it's on. Use the wiring diagram and verify a valid power supply to the main control board.

ive replaced more than 1 power supply board. it is definitely a good place to start assuming the power to the fridge checks out.

Many thanks again. So many little funny stories about this repair and many others. I wish I had a video camera strapped to a hat on my daily adventures. In my area, a lot a people are very trusting, they leave the door open, text me the garage codes etc. So Im in these houses alone and find myself mumbling or asking their dog how to fix thier broken appliance.
